PLUR

The term PLUR is believed to have originated by NYC DJ Frankie Bones in response to a fight that broke out at a 1980’s rave he was playing at. He stopped the music and stated “If you don’t start showing some peace, love, and unity, I’ll break your fucking faces.”

Also acronym for ‘Please Let Us Rave’

PLUR can also be seen as a more mainstream adaptation of its predecessor, PLE (Peace, Love, Ecstasy), which was mainly used in Europe in the early 1990s.
